SALES AGREEMENT
This Sales Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on the date signed below between Jersey Bunnies, hereinafter referred to as the "BREEDER", and the undersigned individual, hereinafter referred to as the "ADOPTER", for the adoption of a pet rabbit.
By purchasing a rabbit from Jersey Bunnies, the ADOPTER acknowledges and agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.
1. The Pet

- Gender: Male / Female (to the best of the BREEDER’s knowledge)

2. Adoption Fee
- The ADOPTER agrees to pay an adoption fee of $[Amount], which helps defray the cost of animal care, housing, food, and related expenses.
- The ADOPTER acknowledges that the adoption fee is non-refundable under any circumstances once the rabbit has left the care of the BREEDER. All sales are final.
3. Care and Welfare of the Rabbit
- The ADOPTER agrees to provide a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for the rabbit, ensuring its health and welfare. This includes proper housing, food, and veterinary care.
- The ADOPTER further agrees not to neglect, abuse, or mistreat the rabbit. Should the ADOPTER fail to uphold any part of this contract or fail to provide adequate care, the ADOPTER agrees to surrender the rabbit unconditionally to the BREEDER without financial restitution or compensation.
4. Veterinary Care
- The ADOPTER agrees to have the rabbit examined by a licensed veterinarian in case of emergency
- The ADOPTER understands that the BREEDER is not responsible for any medical bills incurred after the rabbit has left the farm. Any health issues, treatments, or emergencies that arise after adoption are the sole responsibility of the ADOPTER.
5. No Unauthorized Breeding
- The ADOPTER acknowledges that the rabbit is sold solely as a companion animal and agrees not to use the rabbit for breeding purposes. The rabbit is not spayed or neutered.
- The ADOPTER agrees to spay/neuter the rabbit if purchasing two. ensures the rabbit is housed in an appropriate manner, with male and female rabbits separated if purchased together.
6. Gender, Size, and Appearance Disclaimers
- The BREEDER makes every effort to accurately identify the gender and characteristics of the rabbit, but no guarantees are made regarding the rabbit’s exact gender, adult size, or appearance.
- The ADOPTER acknowledges that the size, coat color, and ear growth of the rabbit may change as it matures, and these characteristics cannot be guaranteed.
7. Final Sale
- The ADOPTER acknowledges and agrees that the adoption fee and deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
- SELLER reserves the right to offer monetary compensation in lieu of a replacement animal but is in no way obligated to do so. SELLER is not responsible for defects or imperfections not evident at the time of sale that do not constitute "unsound health".
- All sales are final once the rabbit leaves the BREEDER’s care.
8. Responsibility for Medical Expenses
- The ADOPTER acknowledges that the rabbit leaves the BREEDER’s care in noticeably healthy condition. The ADOPTER is solely responsible for all medical expenses and care once the rabbit is in their possession.
- The BREEDER is not liable for any medical treatments or expenses incurred after the adoption, and the ADOPTER agrees not to seek reimbursement for any future medical costs.
9. Protection Against False Claims
- The ADOPTER agrees to notify the BREEDER immediately if any health or behavioral concerns arise regarding the rabbit. The ADOPTER further agrees to provide proper documentation, such as a veterinary report, should any dispute arise about the rabbit’s health or condition.
- False claims or allegations regarding the health or behavior of the rabbit will not be tolerated and may result in legal action.
10. Rehoming and Return Policy
- Should the ADOPTER wish to rehome the rabbit, they agree to contact the BREEDER first. The ADOPTER understands that the BREEDER may request a signed veterinarian’s certificate confirming the rabbit’s health before agreeing to take it back.
- The BREEDER reserves the right to deny rehoming if the rabbit is not in good health or if the ADOPTER has not provided proper care.
11. LIvestock Sales Clarifications
- The ADOPTER agrees and understands that no refunds will be provided once the rabbit has left the care of the BREEDER. This policy is in place because once the rabbit leaves the farm, the BREEDER cannot control or verify the conditions in which the rabbit is kept. While the rabbit leaves the farm in noticeably healthy condition, environmental changes, stress, diet, and treatment after the sale are factors beyond the BREEDER's control.
- The BREEDER’s role is to ensure the rabbit is in good health at the time of adoption. However, once the rabbit is with the ADOPTER, the ADOPTER assumes full responsibility for its well-being, and the BREEDER cannot be held liable for any health conditions or behavioral changes that arise after adoption.
- ADOPTER accepts full responsibility for its care moving forward.
12. Legal Agreement
- By purchasing a rabbit from the BREEDER, the ADOPTER agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement. The ADOPTER acknowledges that they are legally bound by the terms and that any violation of this contract will result in the surrender of the rabbit to the BREEDER without financial restitution or compensation.
